The cost is $25 per person and space is limited, so sign up in advance at Heart Stream’s website to reserve your spot! This workshop is the ultimate afternoon of relaxation designed to relieve stress and body tightness, and includes the combination of Yin Asana, Restorative Poses, Pranayama (breath work), ample hands-on adjustments/assists, and concludes with Yoga Nidra meditation. Yin yoga is a practice of long held, deep stretches, which allow the body time to soften, open, sink in, and let go; resulting in increased flexibility and decreased physical pain from tightness and injuries. The Yin practice will include juicy poses that allow for focus on lengthening and softening the muscles, ligaments, joints, and fascia. Supportive props will be incorporated when appropriate. This will be followed by a lovely, relaxing Restorative sequence that will help all body types find incredible comfort and ease. During the Restorative component, we will travel deep into ourselves to find the places where we hold tension, so that it can be released. Restorative yoga teaches us to be mindful and present in our bodies so we can develop a deeper understanding of our pain and imbalances. The workshop will end with Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation technique practiced lying down, to promote restoration and healing. Yoga Nidra enables the parasympathetic nervous system to calm the mind and reset the perpetual “flight or fight” mode that we often ourselves in, due to our work and life culture. This workshop will be helad from 3:30-6pm Saturday May 5 The cost will be $25/ person.
